Project Description

The main objective of the project is: To increase the capacity of the three partner organizations to include vulnerable groups, with the tools of theatre art, transformed into digital formats.Specific objectives:1. Research, adapt and digitize theatre tools, by creating interactive digital resources, based on established theatremethods, to support the social inclusion of vulnerable groups;2. Training theatre practitioners and trainers to enhance the digital skills of theatre professionals, so that they can effectivelyapply the new tools in their work;3. Creating a sustainable network for the exchange of good practices, contributing to long-term cooperation between thethree organizations and other stakeholders, with the aim of disseminating and developing digitally based methods from thefield of arts for inclusion. The project “Digital Arts for Inclusion” aims to develop an innovative approach to social inclusion through theatre art, adapted in a digital environment. Through the joint work of the partner organizations, the project will create newopportunities for cultural and social integration of vulnerable groups and will support the long-term development of digitaltools in the field of arts and adult education.
The direct target group includes theatre practitioners, trainers and educators from the three partner organisations, who workto include different socially excluded groups from local communities. They have experience in their work, applying varioustheatre tools to integrate vulnerable people. Socially excluded groups are distanced from community life for various reasonsand on various grounds. Through the social genres of theatre art, theatre specialists and educators from the threeorganisations have so far worked with their target groups only in person. They apply different theatre methods:”Autobiographical theatre”, “Shadow theatre”, genres of “Social theatre” – “Forum theatre”, “Memory theatre”, “Documentarytheatre” etc. The face-to-face form of work makes it difficult for specialists to attract social groups that are difficult to reach –people from geographically remote settlements, people with physical disabilities, as well as those who, due to stigma andrejection, do not want to engage in group work in a face-to-face form. Each of the three organizations faces similarchallenges related to access to these target groups. One of the solutions to this problem is to conduct hybrid and onlineeducational and creative activities, for which the specialists of the three organizations are not prepared. The current projectwill train them and provide them with digital resources through which they will be able to reach more people in need ofinclusion and creative work for their personal development and inclusion in the life of the community. Indirectly, representatives of the target groups will also be involved in the project activities: people from ethnic minorities, emigrants, elderly people, residents of small and remote settlements, young people with antisocial manifestations, the unemployed. They need innovative tools that are interesting, accessible to them and correspond to the modern way of communication. After acquiring the new competencies from theater practitioners, coaches and trainers, the new digital resources will betested among the target groups of the three partner organizations. The target group is the organizations, institutions and allthose interested parties who will benefit from the new intellectual products of the project, through which they will enrich theirwork, increase its quality and impact. An informal international network will be built, which will become a territory for sharingresults, information and ideas.
